This model is basically a larger version of the iPhone XS, which in itself resembled the iPhone X. So, we once again see a beautiful curved design with an edge-to-edge screen. This comes without a bezel or home button, with only the front-facing camera notch cutting into the glass.
The 6.5-inch OLED display has sleek, rounded corners, which follows the same styling as previous Apple phones. The screen resolution is 2688 x 1242, meaning video playback and image viewing is something to be truly relished.
Some apps also allow you to use the screen in landscape mode, similar to the way you do on an iPad. This makes working on the go significantly easier, as you can use the phone as a mobile office.
iPhone XS Max Audio
As you would expect, the audio quality on this model is on point. It’s a copycat of the features found on the iPhone X, which was already quite impressive.
Apple is also putting more focus on wireless audio, equipping this handset with W1 wireless technology, which provides an even more stable connection than Bluetooth. However, you can still use wired headphones with the device by purchasing an adapter alongside it.

There is nothing to worry about when it comes to this phone’s photography performance. On the back of the device, you will find two 12MP cameras that were first used on the iPhone 8 Plus, and they work just as well here.
There’s also a TrueDepth camera on the front, so whether you are taking pictures of your friends or snapping some selfies, you are sure to get quality images. Plus, this camera system comes equipped with Smart HDR, which combines multiple photos into a single image. This allows you to capture small details like shadows and bright spots much better.

Like most handsets, the iPhone XS Max is available in a few different storage size options, including the introduction of a 516GB version. It also comes with the A12 Bionic chip, giving faster charging speeds when using a cable. As well as this, improvements have been made to the wireless charging coil, making it even more responsive and efficient.
Being one of Apple’s top-end smartphones, the iPhone XS Max comes in the now traditional silver, gold and space grey options. It’s also worth noting that there is no fingerprint scanner on this device, as this has been replaced by Face ID, which utilises the TrueDepth front-facing camera.
